Plain-English terms for the SEO testing tools at williamharvey.uk/seo-testing. By using them, you agree to these terms.
The tools
The tools are free and provided as they are. They test web pages in a browser on our servers and report what they find. Features, limits and availability can change or stop at any time.
Using them fairly
- Test websites you own, work on, or are otherwise entitled to test.
- Don’t use the tools to overload, attack or harm a website, or for anything unlawful.
- Don’t try to get round the daily limits, the human check or the sign-in.
Accounts or visitors that misuse the tools can be blocked without notice.
Limits
Without signing in: 3 tests a day. Signed in with Google: 12 tests a day. Tests of the same website run one at a time, so you may wait in a queue.
Reports
- Signed in: reports are kept for 30 days, and anyone you give a report’s link to can open it. Don’t share links to tests of private addresses.
- Without signing in: the report is only for you, in that browser, for 24 hours, and can’t be shared.
- Reports are then deleted and can’t be recovered: download the PDF or copy them for Jira to keep them.
Accuracy
Results show what our browser received and rendered at the time of the test. They can’t prove exactly what Google or any other search engine or AI tool indexed or chose: use Google Search Console (URL Inspection) to confirm what Google sees. The tools aren’t professional advice, and you’re responsible for the decisions you make with them.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the tools are provided without warranties, and William Harvey isn’t liable for any loss arising from using them or relying on their results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Privacy
How data is handled is set out in the privacy notice.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: use the contact form.
